Barrique: tradition and technology
Ernestomeda presents Barrique, a design by Rodolfo Dordoni and inspired by the oldest Italian tradition: the good life, the good food and the exquisite wines.

Barrique evokes both in the material as well as in the woods, colors, and functions, the old meeting places where the everyday rituals were shared.

The darkness of the cellars, the reflection game created by mirrors, the transparencies of the bottles, the odor emanating from the case, where the wine waits patiently for its time, were the inspiration for Dordoni who, with a method and consistency, has reinterpreted materials, forms and functions with focus on technology, while retaining the magical atmosphere of the original places of the past.

The support for the boiserie panelbottle holders can be seen in the rear reflected on top and in the inside of the counter-top and the interior of the higher furniture, from the transparent doors that hold its content.

The materials are evocative: the bleached walnut canaletto combined with the marble counter tops or satin steel, the wood of the furniture containers - lacquered in the warm and intense shades of wine - and the color of the glass shelves and stands.

Barrique lives in the warmth of the wood, the delicacy of the glass and the beauty of the natural stone, along with more technical materials, they coexists in a harmonious and elegant balance.
