Cosmopolitan Aesthetics in Smoth

The Smoth space located in Granollers(Spain) is a design by Pichiglas Studio, at the head of which we find Alfonso de la Fuente, a “chameleon designer”, which has carried out other interior, graphic and industrial designs with various firms of national and international prestige.

Smoth is a place for cocktails inspired by a cosmopolitan aesthetics, a style represented through its lines and materials. With attractive effects and styles of lighting they have been able to differentiate each floor by a color, orange or blue and different aesthetics.

Upon entering the premises, we are welcomed by the bar area. An area decorated entirely in cement, the floor, walls and the bar itself, made from this material, this way showing off an industrial look, which in turn contrasts with the curvature of its design, which transports us for an instant through time to those ancient and exquisite cocktail spots.

Behind the bar is the wine rack, which gives off a sensation of movement to the wall due to its diversity of heights, comparison of sizes and the effect the lights and shadows produce.

Behind the bar area, the lounge area is hidden, whose decor is inspired by nautical aesthetics. A long and narrow room, horizontally marked in which the star is provided by the effects of amplitude that the lighting of the walls give. White and black furniture, round and square seats and several flowers printed on the walls, act as the only decorative elements in a neat aesthetic.

A special mention to the spectacular lamp that decorates the staircase, made from bottles, and designed by “Pichiglas”.

The upstairs turns to orange, and the row of lights that decorate the wall, as well as attracting our attention, give off a pleasant indirect light, encouraging conversation and relaxation moments. Following the design of the lamps, the straight line is the highlight of this floor in which the furniture is now square.
