Red, red!!
Throughout history, few things have been able to prevail in so many and such varied fields, among which, of course, is decorating, politics, society, sports, love, history, personal relationships, fashion..red has stood its own among the rest of the colors, on its own merits.

It is a bright color, present in decorating ever since it has been known and which disappeared during some years to reappear again a decade ago with more force than ever. It is an intense, aggressive, warm, pure color..and considered one of the three primary colors.

Closely related to heat. Although objectively the temperature of a place is the same as that of another, if the decoration of the first dominates this hue, the thermic sensation that is transmitted could make us think that it is greater, just like when we feel a little warm, we take on a certain reddish look.

Related with politics and power. After the French Revoltion red was used to differentiate from the rest, the left-wing thinkers and the revolutionaries. From the Roman era, we have inherited the style it represents. And it is at that moment that everything that wanted to stand out from the rest dressed in this color. Senators, councilloers, governors and even the Roman guards appeared dressed in an intense vermilion, in the most relevant films of history.
Related to religion, divinity and Easter. The Pope’s robes, bishops, archbishops, cardinals..are characterized by the use of this color for the most part. It is also present in the various guilds that venerate such thinking.
It is a color directly related with life, blood, and personal relationships. Able to convey the deepest emotions. A color tremendously erotic, sensual, attractive..triggering a long list of feeling at the sight of, for example, a woman’s red painted lips. A multitude of love acts are demonstrated by sending flowers, but nothing compared to the symbolism of red roses.
A fetish color for several famous designers such as Valentino, making him the flagship of his collections, synonymous with elegance, glamour and..well known as the “Red Valentino.”

The only option when it comes to choosing the color of your next car, if we are talking about a Ferrari. Nobody thinks of that model car in any other color. “Red Ferrari”, as commercial as desired.

Red velvet curtains and rugs of the same tone appear nowadays as dressing to mayor social events, symbolizing the luxury of elegance. A corporate color in a multitude of commercial shops, used to indicate the holidays on a calendar, the corrections carried out in an exam, warning, prohibition or danger signs. Expressions like “red hot” or red numbers” reflect the contradictory symbolism it represents.

As to what the decoration refers, although decorations carried out entirely in red have had a spectacular results, it is advisable to utilize it only as a compliment to a style realized in other colors. It has the problem that its grading towards lighter or darker colors gives off the result of different colors. If we try to lighten it we achieve a pinkish shade, and if we darken it we get a violet tone.

Despite being a risky shade due to its brilliance and intensity, it adds a large dose of strength to the decoration, vitality and joy, sensations to all, that will make your home a unique place.
