Lofts, how to decorate them
Nowadays living in a loft is a synonymous undisputed design. It started as a cost-effective alternative to traditional housing, but today it has become a luxurious lifestyle. Industrial pavilions or unused warehouses have turned into the cradle of design.

But it is possible that those who are facing the prospect of decorating a loft, do so with the doubts that plague anyone who is preparing to decorate his new home, adding to the stress of decorating an unknown space. And although lofts have been showing up in every cit for several decades, as with everything that involves innovation, it requires a considerable period of adaptation.

These are large spaces, in which the industrial air is the protagonist of the space. The high ceilings are its personal trait, and through them run installations such as: air conditioning, far from being disguised, they are utilized by turning them into decorative focal points that are absolutely relevant.

The cold material contribute to the conservation of that industrial aspect that originally lived in the industrial space. Thanks to its brightness and the absence of boards, the floors of polished cement, help to amplify spaces. To distinguish the “spaces” of a loft, you can opt to use different shades to stain the concrete floor. To boost the industrial style, the ideal combination, are the polished concrete floors with the iron beams. Both material are extremely cold, therefore we must pay special attention to the colors and material we will use on the rest of the decoration.

The internal distribution usually takes place through a studied arrangement of furniture, walls are nonexistent, except the ones that separe the bathroom. The separations can be done with glass screens, paper panels, folding screens, or simply the back of a closet can be a space separator. All the madeindeco readers are already professionals in the separation of spaces.

It is advisable to use a limited chromatic palette , but of very intense colors. It is also recommended to use bright colors such as reds, oranges, or greens in the kitchen and bathroom, which contrasts with the coldness of the concrete and further enhance the aseptic feeling that surrounds lofts. In common areas it is preferable to use colder and soft shades.

Due to the coldness of the concrete floors, rugs are essential, we could give them the task of adding that touch of color to our living rooms and bedrooms, and through them we will also achieve a visual separation of each space.

With regards to the furniture, few and large. The placement of an excessive amount of pieces will result in a disorderly appearance, because we will see everything at a single glance.

A loft should give off a sensation of emptiness, few things, little time, fast pace of life, a lot of work..of an actual lifestyle.
