High-definition ultraportable
A little bit bigger than a mobile phone, the new HDR-TG3E video camera from Sony is the smallest, thinnest and most lightweight Handycam® with a Full HD 1920×1080 resolution and a 5.1 surround sound.

The TG3E has a completely titanium manufactured body- a material that is 40% lighter than steel and twice as strong as aluminum and is covered with a layer called Premium Hard Coating that protects it from everyday scratches.

It is capable of capturing 4 mega pixel high resolution pictures in the photography mode, and 2.3 mega pixel photographs even while HD video recording.
The Automatic Face Recognition adjusts the focus, exposure and color balance. It recognizes up to eight faces in a single scene, providing photos of people in different situations.

The videos stored on the PRO Duo Memory Stick (it includes a 4Gb) can be burned to a DVD with the touch of the “Burn Disc” button, using the Handycam Station base that it includes. It can also be stored in the hard disk of the computer and be managed by the Picture Motion Browser. Alternatively, the Map function could show where the pictures where taken when used in conjunction with the GPS-CS1KASP satellite digital image positioner from Sony.

It also includes a HDMI output that connects to any HDTV ready television to be able to comfortably view the videos and photographs.

The Handycam® HDR-TG3 will be available in May 2008.
