BeoVision 4 incorporates Automatic Picture Control, a feature that, through a series of sensors continuously measures the light conditions of the room to adjust, in accordance, the brightness and the contrast of the image.

The Automatic Colour Management is a technology, recently  patented by Bang & Olufsen, to prolong the life of plasma screens. This device, consisting of an extendable arm fitted with a micro camera avoids, by the means of controlling the temperature of the color, the loss of phosphorus and therefore “yellowing” of the image, that the plasma screens tend to get with the passage of time.

Every 100 hours of television use, or as often as desired, a robotic arm with a camera at its tip emerges from behind the aluminum frame to measure an image test displayed by the screen. In a matter of seconds, the temperature of the color is analyzed and adjusted to ensure a consistent color reproduction.
