Curtains

Textiles choices are one of the key pieces in any room decor, They will succeed in giving that warm touch to our homes, and will be in part the ones that set the style prevailing in each room. The type of material we chose is an important part, but not the only one, the bar in which they are hung and the method of securing them, will determine the final outcome.

Curtains

Nowadays, the market of possibilities is very wide in its content, gauze, silks, twill, thin canvas…The choice of the fabric will be conditioned by both the budget we have, and the style we like:

There are various methods of fastening and making curtains, and these just the same as the fabric choice, influence on the final determining style in the space that they are placed.

Roman blinds

Roman blinds are a good resource for spaces with few meters since they occupy little visual space. They are widely used in modern environments, recreating minimalist styles. You can lift them up to various heights making tables, and could be made in all kinds of fabrics. There needs to be special care when choosing print fabrics, because when the blinds are lifted up, the print will be cut and the effect could be far from the initial desired.

Blinds or roll up Roman blinds

Very appropriate for places that should feel aseptic such as bathrooms or kitchens, but also for spaces where the functionality is the dominant key, and prevails in a clean and restrained form. The blinds can be lifted to the superior part, leaving windows completely clear.

Venetian blinds

They have the benefit that their blades can be rotated depending on the orientation of the light, allowing the passage of more or less, depending on the activity to be performed. They are widely used in the workplace. They are made from different materials such as, wood, pvc, aluminum…and provide a color chart where we find “almost” everything we are looking for, including blades with different prints.

Drapes

The main function of the drapes is to let light in, and is also a first dress for the window. Generally they are made with light weight fabrics as light is supposed to pass through them. These light weight drapes allow the light to acquire its hue, giving warmth to the room.

Japanese Panel

This is a blind or panel of Eastern descent, as its name suggest. A series of panels made in one or several textures, that cross among each other, and overlap to open allowing the passage of light. They can be made out of all kinds of fabrics, thick or rigid textures give the best results to this type of manufacturing. The Japanese panel can wear any print, because its tightening placement allows for a perfect visualization of the print.

Light weight curtains

They meet an aesthetic and complementary function. Usually placed on both sides of the window, leaving the center free to allow the total passage of light. They are made in thick fabrics such as thin canvas, twill, velvet..and sometimes with large prints and intense colors. They could act as a complement to whatever other type of curtain such as Venetian blind, drapes….

Ruffle curtains

They are placed at the top of the window, covering the beginning of the drapes and blinds and the blind box. The fabrics used for these curtain have nothing to do with the light weight curtains, generally thicker and combined with longer (in the case they exist). They could be made of tables, sunken folds or completely stretched. The bottom part can be straight, or have waves, with ornaments…
