Barcelona Chair
The Barcelona Chair is a creation from the prestigious architect Mies Van Der Rohe, who in 1929, created this design for the International Fair held in Barcelona. It was a design conceived as a throne, since its mission was for the king and queen to sit in it during their visit, but to the disappointment of Mies, the king and queen did not sit down on the chair.

The Barcelona Chair consist of a flat steel and chrome structure, in an X form, nine strips of leather on which the seat rests, formed by fluffy upholstered leather cushions set with buttons. The Barcelona Chair is a minimalist icon initiated by Mies, that has made history.

Over time, this same design has been adding members to its family, and within its “Barcelona” collection, we find, benches, beds, puff…

At the same time its range of colors has expanded, and today it is common to find such famous creations in different shades of leather, even in prints.

This is a piece that provides elegance and distinction to any space. We can place it in a minimalist lobby, but also in a classical style living room or bedroom, in its various versions.

If we don’t resist the temptation to include a creation like this in our home, we should know it is not very easy to find, and that there are many replicas of this design, which can lead to deceit.

The estudio Knoll has all rights to the manufacturing of the Barcelona Chair, knowing that it has been manufactured by them is a guarantee of authenticity. In addition each of the chairs, bears the logo of the studio and the Mies signature brand printed in the framework, which will facilitate their identification in case of doubt.
